The short version: We collect only what we need to run BuildifyOS. We never sell your data. You can delete your account and data at any time.
BuildifyOS (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We store this to create your BuildifyOS account.
Project Data: Photos you upload, project descriptions, budgets, and renovation plans you create on BuildifyOS.
Contractor Information: If you register as a contractor, we collect your business name, trade, service area, phone number, and labor rates.
Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you use the platform, such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve BuildifyOS.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To generate AI-powered renovation plans and Bills of Materials
- To match homeowners with contractors in their area
- To send transactional notifications (new leads, BOM ready alerts)
- To improve the BuildifyOS platform and AI models
- To comply with legal obligations
3. AI and Your Photos
When you upload a photo for project analysis, it is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis. Photos are used solely to generate your renovation plan and are not used to train AI models without your explicit consent. We do not store raw photos longer than necessary to generate your BOM.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- With contractors: When you request a quote or a contractor accepts a lead, relevant project details are shared with that contractor.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for authentication and database services, and Anthropic for AI analysis. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver BuildifyOS.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies
BuildifyOS uses essential cookies and local storage to maintain your login session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
8. Children’s Privacy
BuildifyOS is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of BuildifyOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
