1. About BuildifyOS
BuildifyOS is an AI-powered renovation planning platform that connects homeowners with licensed contractors. We provide tools for generating Bills of Materials (BOM), estimating project costs, and matching homeowners with qualified local contractors.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use BuildifyOS. By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
3. Homeowner Accounts
As a homeowner, you may use BuildifyOS to:
- Upload photos and describe renovation projects
- Generate AI-powered Bills of Materials and cost estimates
- Browse and contact verified local contractors
- Save and manage your renovation plans
Cost estimates generated by BuildifyOS are for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed quotes. Actual costs will vary based on contractor pricing, materials availability, and site conditions.
4. Contractor Accounts
As a contractor, you may use BuildifyOS to:
- Receive qualified homeowner leads in your service area
- Manage your business profile, service area, and labor rates
- Accept or pass on individual leads
Contractors must be licensed and insured in the jurisdictions where they operate. BuildifyOS reserves the right to remove any contractor who misrepresents their credentials or receives sustained negative reviews.
5. Fees and Billing
BuildifyOS offers both free and paid subscription tiers for contractors. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually and are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
6. AI-Generated Content
BuildifyOS uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos and generate renovation plans and cost estimates. These outputs are estimates only. BuildifyOS makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content. Always obtain formal quotes from licensed contractors before committing to a project.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false or misleading information
- Attempt to circumvent, hack, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform
- Use BuildifyOS to contact homeowners outside of the platform for leads you received through BuildifyOS
- Spam, harass, or abuse other users
8. Intellectual Property
BuildifyOS and its AI tools, design, and content are owned by BuildifyOS and protected by copyright and other laws. You retain ownership of photos and content you upload, but grant BuildifyOS a license to use them to provide the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
BuildifyOS is not a party to any contract between homeowners and contractors. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any contractor’s work. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildifyOS’s liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of BuildifyOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
